FULL STEAM AHEAD
Two wheels that let you feel freedom
Let the wind give you wings as villages, alpine pastures, castles and apple orchards fly past. Thanks to the abundance of sunny days, you can pedal around the Val Venosta Valley from March to November, from leisurely valley cycle paths to winding mountain passes and exciting mountain trails. As a guest of our house, you also benefit from special conditions on all guided tours of our partner company, the Ötzi Bike Academy.
PLEASURE BIKING ALONG THE ADIGE CYCLE PATH
The Adige cycle track runs gently downhill along the ancient Roman road Via Claudia Augusta from Lake Resia to Merano and further in the direction of Bolzano. There is plenty to discover along the route, such as the sunken tower in Lake Resia, the medieval town of Glorenza, the marble village of Lasa or the spa town of Merano. From the AMARIL you can join the cycle path at around the middle section and cycle in either direction. Numerous bike rental and return stations along the route make it possible to shorten the tour and return by train with the Val Venosta train.
MOUNTAIN BIKING ON SONNENBERG AND NÖRDERBERG
Those who prefer to swap flat bike paths for rooted forest paths and tracks will find tours of various degrees of difficulty around the AMARIL. Uphill and downhill trails meander on the Sonnenberg and on the wooded Nörderberg for both beginners and passionate mountain bikers. The tours wind their way through forests and over meadows and alpine pastures - and offer impressive views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
